This is one area of modeling that has become popular in most African countries. Commercial modeling is a sort of catch all for everything that isn’t fashion and isn’t glamour. It is vast and diverse. The physical requirement can vary greatly. The whole purpose is to sell something-a product, service, or idea.
Product modeling:
Generally a photo could be generated to sell a product and the model is to show how the product is used to convey an image about a product an example would be a model dressed like an engineer wearing a hard hat and tools. This gives an image of an engineering authority behind the product. However there is also the age old method of selling a product by putting someone attractive by it. This may not be too effective but it works. The physical requirement and looks can vary a great deal. It all depends on the story or image one is trying to pass across.

Print modeling:
for advertisement includes commercials or trade publications, fashion and non-fashion, swimsuit, billboard, newspaper, catalog, slide shows and other high-exposure works.

Broadcast and industrial modeling:
includes television commercials, films, stage and theatricals, radio and television voice-overs.
